SILETZ FISH TRAP:

Larry Dale and I joined Casey to work the Siletz Trap today. The river is low even though the recent rains have increased the flow slightly. We found 8 fish in the trap.
3 Chinook (2 Jacks and 1 male) All released up stream
3 hatchery steelhead (1 male and 2 female) which were dispatched for stream enhancement.
2 male wild steelhead. Also released upstream.
We also did a stream survey but only saw 1 red. Casey spotted a couple of steelhead in the area but it is a bit early and he expects more activity after the streams rise a bit.
It was a beautiful day on the river but no wildlife spotted. There was quite a bit of maintenance activity on the roadway today. Frank
