SILETZ FISH TRAP:
The fall trap season has started.
Wayde and Lee went with Casey to the Siletz trap on Friday, 9/25. The weather was clear in the gorge but foggy till then. Some logging adjacent to the main road with 1 highline over the road.
There were only 3 Steelhead in the trap.
1 wild buck, 1 wild hen and one hatchery hen.
We did a stream survey for spawning spring Chinook between Buck Creek and Sunshine Creek. Three fish were seen and 2 redds (spawning nest in the gravel).
One deer was seen on the way back. It's good to be back on the trap runs again.
